A fter a good nights’ sleep, the train stops the next morning in Kimberley. A visit to the Big Hole and Diamond Museum give you an opportunity to explore this historical mining town. Back on the train for a delicious lunch, the afternoon is spent relaxing and taking in the scenery.

The next morning will include a visit to the quaint Victorian village of Matjiesfontein – originally founded as a refreshment stop in 1890. The museum on the platform is well worth a visit and the village, steeped in history, is a fascinating experience while you stretch your legs. The train then chugs its way through Touws River and Worcester, through spectacular mountains and vineyards. Arriving at Cape Town Station at 6pm, you’ll find yourself relaxed and ready for whatever you have planned next.

There are three different cabin optionsPullman, Deluxe and Royal Suites – varying in size, all beautifully decorated and well equipped. With 24-hour room service, you won’t have to lift a finger.
